Personal Development Sessions
These are an important part of the event and we have already started to work on the program. However, as you may have seen in the media, BMI has recently become part of Times Higher Education (THE). THE publish the most important university rankings in international education and celebrated 50 years in 2020.
THE will therefore be involved in producing and presenting some of the personal development seminars and all participants will receive a certificate of participation from both THE and BMI.
The expert personal development seminars will cover a range of important topics which will include but not limited to latest updates on undergraduate admissions criteria, application procedures, country seminars and other topics of interest in the university and college counselling community. Previous seminars in regional workshops have been presented by organizations such as UCAS, SAT and country organizations such as Education USA, Campus France, Education Ireland and various other government organizations.

Free Accommodation for Extra Days in London
Many of the approved counsellors have told us they are coming for the first time or have friends and would like to stay a few extra days in London. We have already provided the option to arrive early or stay later but hotels in London are amongst the most expensive in the world.
We have therefore arranged for all counsellors to have up to three days of additional free accommodation at the Stay Club before (nights of 11,12 and 13 May) or after the event (nights of 20th, 21st and 22th May). Stay Club is considered a five-star student accommodation providers and has won multiple awards. You may see a video of their facilities at: https://www.thestayclub.com/student-accommodation/kentish-town/
Accommodation at Stay Club is subject to the following conditions:
1) Air tickets are normally booked to arrive in London on May 14th and return on May 17th (or May 20th if participating in the UK Universities visit program). If the air fare is higher on the alternative dates you choose, you will be informed of any fare difference – if one exists. You can then choose to pay the difference or travel on the regular travel dates.
2) These additional days are not used to participate in work functions/receptions or visit education institutions – even if they are participating in the event. This is out of courtesy to the many institutions who have chosen to participate in the event and to your host, Stay Club / SCL International College.
3) Check in at Stay Club is strictly 3pm and checkout at 11am and breakfast is not included.
4) Rooms are studios – and not shared – and you may therefore have one additional guest.
5) Rooms are for up to 2 people and will be allocated on a first come first served basis until sold out.
If you are approved for the event, you will be able to select the additional days you wish to stay in London on the Travel Form that is sent to you with your approval.
